The tree is up to 15-20 m tall with a vertically growing conical crown, later the crown acquires a wide-oval shape with a leading conductor. The variety is a hybrid of maple red and maple sugary. The trunk with a gray smooth bark, with age becomes fissured, dark gray. The leaves are bright green, large, with deep lobes. In autumn the leaves become shiny orange-red or purple. Staining of leaves depends on the soil and weather conditions of summer and autumn. Blooms and fruiting rarely. Fast-growing.
Light-loving, tolerates partial shading, with good lighting is better colored.
Moderately exacting to soil conditions. It prefers moist, fertile, humus soils of weakly acidic and neutral reaction from sandy loams to loamy soils. Drought-resistant. Does not tolerate soil overconsolidation.
